Fuel Shut-Off Valves

While the “indicating valves are a
correct application, there “should be”
lockouts place on both the FOS and FOR
lines. If the FOS valve is closed while
the generator is running, the engine
will starve to death. If the FOR valve
is closed while the engine is running (a
diesel returns more fuel than it burns)
the engine will die in a much more
dramatic manner.

Some form of protection would be advised
since the “thing” at the left has no
conscience.
