Relocation

Q. "What do the new EPA regulations say about the “relocation” of an existing generator to a new location? Are they even covered by the new regs?" (40 CFR 60.4208)

A. Under the general provisions (60.14(e)(6)) a relocation of an "existing" engine (i.e., an engine that has already been installed and operated) would not result in the existing engine becoming a new engine upon relocation unless the relocation also included changes such that the engine was reconstructed (See 60.15 for the reconstruction provisions). According to Table 8 of Subpart IIII, Section 60.14(e)(6) is an applicable section. I don't see any mention of the term "relocation" in subpart IIII so I assume the subpart relies solely on Section 60.14(e)(6) of the general provisions with regard to relocations.
