Bodine’s GEN™ Series fluorescent backup ballasts provide interim emergency lighting, filling the gap between power failure and generator response. It may take a generator up to 10 seconds to begin powering lighting systems, and in some environments 10 seconds is too much time in the dark. GEN Series backup ballasts ensure building occupants uninterrupted illumination. GEN1 provides up to fives minutes of lighting, and GEN3 provides up to four minutes.
