Pentadyne Named 2007 INNOVATION Awards Finalist

Chatsworth, Calif. – Oct 1, 2007 – Pentadyne Power Corporation (www.pentadyne.com), the world's leading commercial manufacturer of clean energy storage systems using advanced composite flywheel technology, announced today that Electrical Contracting Products magazine (www.ecpzone.com) has named Pentadyne's VSS+DC product as a finalist in its 2007 INNOVATION Awards.

Electrical Contracting Products magazine, one of the leading product information sources for decision makers at the nation's leading electrical contracting firms, manages the 2007 INNOVATION Awards program. The program recognizes outstanding companies whose products or services have best responded to electrical contractors' market challenges by offering creative and innovative ideas.

According to an Electrical Contracting Products magazine press release, finalists for this year's event include some of the most influential companies serving the $82 billion electrical contracting market. Divided into 18 product categories, the 2007 INNOVATION Awards are judged by a distinguished panel of professional electrical contractors who will evaluate each of the product finalists on six criteria: innovation, ease of use, cost effectiveness, quality contribution, maintainability and productivity improvements

"We are very pleased to be named a finalist. This recognition further validates our belief that Pentadyne products are top-tier green solutions for business continuity and cost savings,” said Pentadyne President & CEO Mark McGough. "Our state-of-the-art flywheel energy system was up against some tough competition in its awards category. We are very pleased that the editors of an industry standard such as Electrical Contracting Products magazine chose our proven clean energy solution to be among the best of the best.”

Award winners will be named at the 2007 INNOVATION Awards Ceremony in San Francisco, California, the evening of October 6, the opening day of the National Electrical Contractors Association's Show. (www.necaconvention.org) at the Moscone Center.

"We received a record number of entries this year, a 33 percent increase over 2006,” said John Dyslin, Editor of Electrical Contracting Products. "Not only are these quality products, but the record number of entries and companies submitting products shows that manufacturers have a strong interest in the INNOVATION Awards.”

Exhibiting, presenting at trade shows tomorrow, next week Pentadyne will be exhibiting its flywheel system at the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo (www.hcarefacilities.com) October 2 and 3 at the Chicago Navy Pier. The following week, Pentadyne will be exhibiting the flywheel system at the Society of Broadcast Engineers National Meeting & Equipment Expo (www.sbe20.org/expo.html) near Pittsburgh October 10 and 11. Pentadyne Vice-President of Sales & Service Johnny Gonzales will be one of the event's featured speakers the morning of October 11.
